My Goals for 2008

Well after alot of thought I finally figured out what my goals are for the year ahead. I have also decided I don’t care for the term Goals or New Years Resolution, I am using a Road Map. Why? Because I feel we are on a journey through life, and need a map for it just like when you go to a new city you need a map or at least directions to get from point A to point B. Well I am at point A with my life and want to get to B, C, and D so why not use a map.

To see what I have planned for the year ahead visit me at Tamara-wilson.com

So do you have goals, a New Years Resolution, or Road map for 2008? Share them with us

Cleaning is helpful when organizing

Well I am sure one thing we all know is a clean house is a more organized house. A lot of times it is hard to keep up with especially the vacuuming if you have anyone in your house under the age of 14, the age is probably higher by oldest is 13 and still need to vacuum after him a lot. And with the floor messy it can always seem like nothing else is clean or organized. For me this is probably one of my biggest challenges.

I was looking for something that was light weight and easy to help clean the floors so I am not having to sweep everything. I was starting to look in to eureka vacuum which I have heard are good. I really am not a shopper though I tend to just grab what I see and not much research except when it comes to electronics then I search and want the best for my buck. I really need to do that with other things we have gone through seriously 5 vacuums at least in the last 4 years. Brendan Loves vacuums so sadly he ends up breaking them I am going do do more research this afternoon on what I want in a vacuum other then be Brendan proof but thats hard to come by ;)

The New Year is here

With the new year here I am sure a lot of people have added Getting more organized to their list. Well from what I have heard bad idea. Why with the rate of people not completing new years resolutions and goals why set your self up to not make it. Instead say Ok I want to organize the Kitchen So you then figure out where you want things, who will be getting certain things like cereal bowls if your young children will be using them then the top shelf may not be the best idea, figure out what tools you will need to get it the way you want it baskets plastic containers for cereal. Then plan a day to do it. The more detailed of a list you do the easier it is to get done.

So yes you could say this year I plan to organize the kitchen and laundry room, then make a plan to go with it from there. Saying I am going to get more organized is a wide variety of things and can lead to failure. We want you to accomplish these goals so plan them individually then tackle them its a lot easier that way.

Meal Planning and Freezing

Make Ahead Meals Guide
Often we find ourselves running out of time and wanting to get things going rather fast. One option that I recently came across is the ‘Freezing It & Loving It’ book from Mom’s Talk. It offers several recipes and great ideas and tips to help you get your meal planning under way.

One thing I love about this book is how easy yet delicious the recipes are. Several Times the ideas come to us but we are just not up to doing this. Well this makes it easy. Yes it can be time consuming but if you plan your schedule to include some time just cooking think of the time you will save later in the week.

This guide provides several ways to save time and money for your food prep and grocery shopping. For me this is a must have for my crazy schedule.
